Licensing information
Hunter Dean provides financial advice as a team member of The Lending Group. The operating entity is The Lending Department Limited (FSP166964), which holds a licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice services, with no specific conditions imposed.
Nature and scope of advice
Advice is provided on residential lending — new home loans, refinancing, restructures and top-ups — across a panel of New Zealand lenders including ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Kiwibank, TSB, SBS Bank, The Co-operative Bank and AIA.
Fees and how we get paid
Our mortgage advice service is generally free to you — commission is paid by the lender your loan settles with. For bank lending this is typically up to 0.85% of the loan amount upfront, and a trail commission of 0.1%–1% per year on the remaining balance may also apply. Non-bank mortgage lending commission is up to 1.00% of the loan amount. Rate refixes may attract up to $150 per transaction from the lender. The full commission schedule is available in the disclosure statement at hunterdeanmortgages.co.nz/disclosure-statement.
Conflicts of interest
Advisers are not incentivised to promote one lender over another. Options are compared across the lender panel based on your circumstances, and the commission receivable from any recommended lender is disclosed on request.
